Every fourth Thursday of November Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. The dinner consists of dishes indigenous to the Americans, namely turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, corn, green beans, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. which was a celebration by the pilgrims after their first harvest in the new world.
HAITI
The soup jomou has multiple social connotations for the Haitians people. The soup is dignified by its people as independence and resembles a greater revolution that liberated its population. On January 1st , Haitians residing throughout the world partake in the traditional food.
